"October 19 Field Report X033 – X Con: The aftermath!
I really don’t know how to describe that great X-perience to anyone who wasn’t there… but I promised, so I’m going to try!
It really was the most amazing weekend I ever had!
I never met any philes before in real life… It was really great to actually see the persons behind the nickname^^ It was also great to meet so many persons from different countries!
But the best part definitely was Dean Haglund!!!
He is *so* great! His show made me laugh so hard I had to cry!
Plus he didn’t only sign my picture… but also my Langly glasses!
I’m currently uploading more pictures to the photobucket account that was created for X Con!
Oh, and one more time: I have to thank Sigath, foxtrot and fox_w_mulder for their amazing work!

And what I am really happy about: Dean's producer liked my lecture so much that he told Dean all about it and they put me in their documentary. So there I was sitting on the couch with Dean, talking about postmodernism and The X-Files while being filmed. He was so curious, open-minded and simply fun!

"Really, that was just so much fun!
Have to admit, at first, I was just like "oh no, it really doesn´t fit into my timetable, I would like to go, but... there is so much to do..." and I was overworked when I went to the Con with the philes. But when we were there, we were just overwhelmed, how much the organisation-philes have created!!!
It was amazing to just talk to totally strangers (some at least), but having no problem to find a good theme to talk about, because all the guys (or nerds *lol*) in the room spoke the same language. The X-tongue ;) It was a wonderful experience, everyone understood what you ment, understood the meaning of cloth, little assecoires and so on - ha, what fun!
I´m proud we even supported a good charity with this - Sgiath had so much work, stress, but none of the money she wanted for herself, none of the STAFF members - everything for charity. Well well, philes rock the world. Love you all, love the Con, hope for more, I BELIEVE that it´s gonna happen, and that then Frank will join not only in mind, but in reality. "It has been said already but many philes were deeply touched by that [The In Memorian Videos for Kim Manners and other people who worked on "The X-Files] and I saw many philes wiping tears away. The thing is that those two days were awesome and it just is something else to see a video like that together with people who you only know thanks to this show. Its like a bond.. No doubt that KIM MANNERS was a huge part of creating all this. Its not like the show came out of thin air. We owe him so much.. It was a good thing to do this at the end of the convention.
