X-CON 2009
X-CON 2009 was held at the Hotel Berlin Mercure Tempelhof Airport in Berlin on October 17th and October 18th 2009.
About 140 so called X-Philes from Germany and all over Europe followed the invitation and attended the first 'X-Files Convention' organized by fans for first on German soil.
The highly anticipated star guest was actor and stand-up comedian Dean Haglund, who played the 'Lon Gunman' Richard 'Ringo' Langly. Haglund was accompanied by film make Phil Leirness and his video camera. Together they visited important history places like the ex-secret police prison Berlin-Hohenschönhausen or a the Bendlerblock, where Stauffenberg assassination attempt on Hitler failed.
Another celebrated star guest was Singer/Songwriter Jamison Young who managed to win a whole bunch of new admirers during his intimate live acoustic set.
The convention was hosted by German book author Kai Krick who wrote 7 books about "The X-Files" and "MillenniuM".

Hollywood filmmaker Phil Leirness also shot footage for his upcoming documentary "The Truth is out there" on the convention and interviewed attendees and organizers.
