Dean Haglund

Dean Haglund is probably known to most people by his role of Langly. This character is part of “The Lone Gunmen” who have various appearances in nine seasons of “The X-Files” and have also got to a short-lived, but entertaining, spin-off series.

He started his career as a comedian with Ryan Stiles and Colin Mockerie (Whose Line is it Anyway?) in the internationally award winning Vancouver TheatreSports league. He is regularly onstage in Los Angeles with "The Groundlings" and „Second City“ in the Friar's Club where he performs together with such celebrities like Dan Castellaneta (the voice of Homer from the Simpsons).Dean Haglund performs in comedy clubs and colleges throughout the States, mostly a mixture of stand-up and improv comedy. He performed at the famous “Just for Laughs Festival” in Montreal and is a favourite host of award shows (Entertainment Media Awards, California Independent Film Festival, Armenian Independent Film Festival).

He writes and performs for companies such as Coca Cola, Hewlard Packard, Apple Computers and Mitsubishi. However, his undoubted home is the well-known club “The Improv” in Los Angeles where he can be seen mostly.   Besides the acting Dean Haglund also called his attention as an inventor to itself. One day as he worked on his notebook he discovered that a thermal pak, which he used to cool his injured knee, accelerated his computer. To develop - after keen research - a material which could prevent the condensation, he founded his company Geek Chic to merchandise his new invention - the Chill stack. Furthermore Dean Haglund is a passionate illustrator and has designed a comic book entitled “Why the Lone Gunmen was Cancelled”.
